EREA Global Leadership Immersion Program – Kenya and Ireland
A Leadership Development Program with Edmund Rice Educational Communities in Kenya and Ireland
This Global Leadership Immersion program takes participants to Kenya and Ireland and provides opportunities to engage with, learn from and develop links with school communities and networks who are part of Edmund Rice Education Beyond Borders network.
Highlights
– visit schools and engage with staff and students that are living the Edmund Rice Charism in Kenya and Ireland;
– walk the very streets that Edmund walked and visit the places of his birth, life and final years in Ireland;
– dialogue about the opportunities and challenges of educating today, with the Edmund Rice Schools Trust (Ireland) and Edmund Rice Ministries (East Africa);
– explore contemporary ways of educational leadership and leading in faith-based schools, within diverse contexts;
– develop leadership capacities relevant to educating in a globally connected world;
– celebrate and learn about African and Irish culture, spirituality, ecology, leadership and educational practice;
– reflect upon the spirituality of justice and encounter, which began with Edmund and continues to grow and develop through the evolving story of those who walk in Edmund’s footsteps;
– develop long-term global partnerships with other countries, that will enhance the education of our young people
Who can attend
Leaders and Aspiring Leaders in Edmund Rice Schools and Governing Bodies
Approval must be sought from your Principal/Leader prior to Expressing your Interest
Dates
2 October – 16 October 2025
Cost
The organisers are presently negotiating the final costs and will inform participants early next year
Payment of costs are to be negotiated with individual schools/Governing Bodies
Expression of Interest
– Express Interest by 13 December 2024
– Expressions of Interest do not guarantee a place on the Global Leadership Immersion Program
– Participants must have the approval of their Principal (Schools) or CEO/ED (Governing Bodies) prior to EOI
– Participants will be informed late January 2025
