Since 1892 St Edmund’s College has served the families of Ipswich and district. The College currently enrols 1096 students from Years 7 to 12. The College is proudly part of Ipswich’s heritage with its main building one of Ipswich’s icons

Past students are strongly represented through Ipswich society. St Edmund’s provides viable pathways for boys of all abilities and interests. While the College maintains very strong tertiary entrance figures, thirty-five per cent of the senior cohort is involved in vocational education. Service, sport, cultural and leadership opportunities are available and encouraged for all students.

At St Edmund’s prides itself on developing young men of character who will, in turn, make a difference to the lives of others. The College aims to meet the needs of all students through a creative, student-centred curriculum. With a firm belief that boys learn most effectively when they are connected and involved in College life, the College offers an extensive co-curricular programme which allows every opportunity for students to succeed. The Pastoral Care system is set up to promote positive relationships and to guide young men through these important years of education and personal growth.

St Edmund’s College recognises the traditional owners of the area, the Jagera, Yuggera and Ugarapul People.
We also acknowledge the Turrbal Elders.
