It is with much pleasure that I inform you Dr Adam Taylor has been appointed to the position of National Director of School Engagement, effective from January 2020.
Following an extensive and rigorous recruitment process, Adam was strongly endorsed for this senior leadership role.
As Principal of St Bernard's College in Essendon, Adam has brought extraordinary vision, commitment to the charism of Edmund Rice, together with extensive knowledge, experience and qualifications. Throughout Adam's leadership the College has continued to develop as a leader in pedagogical change, celebrated the completion of the impressive new College Chapel and other significant capital works, and enlivened its identity as a Catholic school in the Edmund Rice tradition. A mark of Adam's leadership has been his enthusiasm, work ethic and desire for the best outcome for the boys and the College as a whole.
Adam complements his leadership with a sound academic record including a Doctor of Education and a Master of Educational Leadership from Australian Catholic University, a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Sydney, and a Graduate Diploma in Education (RE) from the University of South Australia.
It is these and many other gifts Adam brings to EREA that he will apply to key areas in his role as National Director School Engagement.
Edmund Rice Education Australia will now embark on the important task of appointing a new Principal for St Bernard's College. The position will be advertised through EREA's usual means as soon as possible and a process of selection will follow.
On behalf of all members of the Edmund Rice Education Australia community, I warmly congratulate Adam on this significant appointment.
With best wishes
